Liquid soap is often available in single-use plastic bottles, which can contribute to plastic pollution. Not all liquid soap bottles get recycled, and pumps can't be recycled at all. Most plastic bottles are made from a type of plastic called PET (polyethylene terephthalate), which is not accepted in all recycling programs.
Plastic pollution is a major environmental problem that is having a significant impact on our planet. Only about 9% of all plastic bottles are recycled globally, meaning that most plastic bottles end up in landfills or incinerators, where they can take hundreds of years to decompose. Not only that, but plastic can also enter the ocean, where it can break down into microplastics that can kill marine animals and even enter our food chain. It is estimated that there are now over 150 million tons of plastic in the ocean.
If you want to help reduce plastic pollution, you can do a few things:
Look for environmentally friendly packaging that uses less plastic or no plastic. Check out our list below ⬇
Reuse plastic bottles and pumps and just refill them.
Find a local goods refillery and bring your own containers.
Look for body washes and soaps that come in recyclable containers. Make sure to check with your local recycling program, follow recycling instructions, and rinse the containers first.
Choose bar soap over liquid soap in a plastic bottle.
Buy in bulk to reduce the number of individual bottles you use.

The Honest Company's best-selling 2-in-1 shampoo + body wash is a tear-free, gentle formula that leaves skin and hair soft and clean. Made with aloe, jojoba, and almond oils, this formula gently nourishes baby's skin and is designed for all skin types.
The product is free of phthalates, parabens, dyes, synthetic fragrances, formaldehyde donors, and SLS/SLES. It is also dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic, tear-free, and not tested on animals.
We've been using the lavender scent for our little one since baby days, and we love it!
The huge pouches are easy to use and create much less waste than normal bottles with pumps.

Neutrogena: Hydro Boost Face Cleansing Gel, Refill Pouch
The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser is a gentle facial cleanser that hydrates and cleanses the skin. It contains hyaluronic acid, which helps to attract and retain moisture, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple. This cleanser is also effective at lifting away dirt, oil, and makeup.
The cleanser is hypoallergenic and fragrance-free, making it a good option for people with sensitive skin. It is also soap-free, oil-free, and paraben-free.
We love this delicate, fragrance-free hypoallergenic face cleanser. Unlike many other brands, it doesn't have microbeads, and comes in a big refill pouch.
